Villa Arbutus...

an elegantly designed eco-house, with solar-powered pool

living room has been designed as a split-level space to reflect the surrounding land and the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms are all on the upper-level in the background.
There are stone floors throughout the villa and high, vaulted ceilings remain cool on even the hottest days.
We were there in August and did not suffer at all from the heat. The villa has been designed to collect the cool sea breeze. Alexander M-P, France

with capacious table and comfortable seats, there is enough dining space for eight. This area also leads out onto one of several outside spaces surrounding the villa - the main dining terrace of the villa.

We have recently installed a cosy and efficient wood stove for cooler times and evenings during the early and late parts of the season.

low-carbon, ecologically designed house on Lefkas, perfect for a holiday with a negligible carbon footprint but where there is absolutely no compromise on style and comfort.

The villa itself is indeed a 'home away from home' and there are a number of nice touches (well stocked bookshelf, perfectly sized barbeque, clear instructions and advice on local eateries and attractions). Alan C, Melbourne, Australia

with luxurious king sized bed, spacious wardrobe, vanity table and mirrors. The French windows open out onto the bedroom terrace - one of three terraces - all with sunny and shady areas.
There's a smaller twin room and extra people could be accommodated in the living room on the divans shown. We also have a cot and high chair for babies and for children, board games and pool toys. Both bedrooms are supplied with mosquito nets.

from the main bedroom door. It's wonderful to lie in bed gazing out at views over the pool and bay.

The villa itself was excellent with a huge sitting room and lovely main bedroom that opened out over the terrace. Fabulous views from the bed.

is well equipped with everything you'd expect and is attractively finished in mahogany.

The open plan nature of the villa is such that the kitchen is not isolated from the rest of the house but connected to the living and dining area. This means that the preparation of all that delectable Greek produce can take place at the heart of the party in the midst of friends and family.

mixes the old with the new stylistically with stone floor and modern tiling.

The shower is powerful and efficient and, whilst there is a solar hot-water system providing masses of hot water, there is also a gas heater for earlier and later in the season.
